Arriving and leaving the airport
Anshan Tengku Airport is easily accessible. It is convenient for airport buses, buses and taxis to get to and from downtown.
Airport bus
It runs between C District of Wuyi Hub Station and the airport. The total length of the line is 16.9 kilometers. It takes about 40 minutes and costs 3 yuan. Departures from the C area of Wuyi Hub Station between 10:40 and 12:20 daily. Departure time from the airport depends on the arrival of the aircraft.
taxi
Tengqi Airport is located in Anshan City (especially close to Tiexi District). It takes about 20 minutes by taxi to enter the city. The cost is about RMB 15-30.

 219 Park

The park was named after the anniversary of the liberation of Anshan on February 19, 1949. The park is very large, with a lot of trees. It is a place where people in Anshan love to go.

 Qianshan National Park

It is about 18 km (11 mi), by road, to the southeast of the city. Qianshan, literally ‘Thousand Mountains’, is an abbreviation of ‘Thousand lotus flower mountains’. The peaks were said to resemble the petals of the lotus flower which had been dropped to earth by a goddess. The park area of 44 km2 (17 sq mi), is filled with both Buddhist and Taoist temples, monasteries and nunneries. It is one of few locations where both religions are found sharing the same site. Cars are not allowed within the park.

Jade Buddha Palace

This large Buddhist temple complex of 22,104 square metres, houses the world’s largest statue of Buddha made of Jade (It is called jade in Chinese, but in English it is Serpentine). It is a single piece of jade stone measuring 6.88 metres in width, 4.10 metres front to back and 7.95 metres high. The jade stone weighs 260.76 tons.

Qianshan Maitreya Buddha

One of the mountains in the park is believed to resemble Maitreya Buddha. It is claimed to be the largest naturally occurring image of Maitreya in the world. Several temples have been built on the peaks of the overlooking hills. Near the Buddha is a bird park.

Tanggangzi Hot Spring Tourist Resort

Tanggangzi Hot Spring is one of the four hot spring rehabilitation centers in China. It has the reputation of “Asia’s famous hot spring” and “Asia’s first mud”.

Food

Anshan has a variety of foods and Sichuan, Guangdong, Liao, Lu and Xiang cuisines are all available. One of the more distinctive features is the Haicheng pie, which originated in the late Qing Dynasty. The choice of ingredients is well-tailored, with thin, thin fillings and tender, oily but not too greasy.
