Zigong is located in the geometric center of the south of Sichuan Province, famous for its “Millennium Salt Capital”, “Southern Lantern City” and “Hometown of Dinosaurs”. Luzhou is located in the core of the Chinese golden liquor triangle. It is a famous wine city in China. It produces world famous wines, Luzhou Laojiao and Langjiu. Yibin is the oldest city in south of Sichuan province and the hometown of Wuliangye, the famous wine of the world. The public transportation in Zigong is advanced. The No.1 Bus is from the bus terminal to Zhangjiaba, passing through the Zigong Dinosaur Museum and dinosaur fossil sites. Rong county Buddha

The Rongxian Buddha is a statue of Buddha Buddha carved up to 36.67 meters. It was built in the 7th year of the Northern Song Dynasty.(1092). The Buddha is engraved on the rock, with a snail on its head, a high-nose square mouth, and binocular heads-up. The Rong County Buddha once claimed to be “the second largest Buddha in China and the third largest Buddha in the world”. However, with the tragic bombing of the Bamiyan Buddha in Afghanistan, it has been “upgraded“to become the second largest in the world.

Zigong Dinosaur Museum

Zigong Dinosaur Museum is one of the three largest dinosaur museums in the world, and it is also a natural science museum mainly built at dinosaur fossils excavation site in China. It is known as “Oriental Dragon Palace”.
The museum sits on top of a large concentration of a diverse dinosaur assemblage from the Dashanpu Formation. The museum claims the largest number of dinosaur fossils in the world and covers 25,000 square meters with a display area of 3,600 square meters.

Shihaidong township

Xijia Mountain House

Chengdu – Zigong – Yibin

This is a 3-day route for small vacations. From Chengdu, it takes about 4 and a half hours to get to Zigong, where you can go to the Dinosaur Museum and the Salt History Museum and stay one night. The next day I went to Yibin, after a tour around the old town of Lizhuang, headed for the Bamboo Sea. Both of these places can provide accommodation and can choose places according to personal preferences.
