Destination sketch

It is the sixth largest city in Heilongjiang province, Dongbei (Northeast), China. As the city sits in a vast forest inside the Xiaoxinganling hills, it has the highest forest coverage rate (82.2%) in China, with the largest and best protected Korean pine forest in Asia. The Heilongjiang River marks the northern boundary of province, correspondent with the Chinese border with Russia.

You can go to the urban area, you can go to the airport bus parking after you arrive at the arrival hall. The starting point in the city is the Yinzuo Hotel in Yichun City. Airport to the city about 20 minutes drive fare 8 yuan / person.

Wuying National Forest Park

Together with Fenglin Nature Reserve in Wuying County, has the largest and most well-preserved Korean pine forest in Asia.

Yichun Xing’an Forest Park

A popular attraction for most of the visitors to Yichun. Located just a little south to the city, the park owns 6,093 acres of forest (however only a hill is open for visitors) ,mainly covered by rare Korean pines. The spring on the way To the top is also popular for Yichun locals, who believe that the water is good for their health. (The spring water is safe to drink, as it’s just normal mineral water)

China Lindu Wood Carving park

A park in the west end of the urban area of Yichun City, next to a river, and is home to many famous wooden carvings. The long gallery, with a 160 meter long wood carvings in relief showing the history of Yichun area is one of The must-see sights in the city.

Xiaoxinganling Stone Carving Park

A garden with some stone carvings and stone tablets. Not as famous as the Wood Carving Park, but it’s one of the most popular places for locals to see and walk around.

Jiameng Dinosaur Geopark

The Jiameng Dinosaur National Geological Park is located on the Longshan Mountain and is the site of the discovery of the first dinosaur fossil in China. The country’s first dinosaur skeleton was unearthed, and it is known as “the hometown of dinosaurs”.

Meixi Huilogwan National Forest Park

Meixi Huilongwan National Forest Park is a park and a resort. The park was built in 1993 and covers an area of 6.388 million square meters. It is mainly composed of several scenic spots, including the original forest of Korean pine, azalea sea, Huilongtan, water wetlands, and Buddhist cultural parks.

Tangwanghe National Park

Located in the Tangwang River District of Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, Tangwanghe National Park is the first national park in China. It is well-known for its dense Korean pine forests, pristine streams and lakes, and its peaks and grotesque stones. There are More than twenty rivers in the park, the longest one being the Tangwang River. It’s about 316 miles (509 kilometers) in length and is regarded as the mother river of Yichun City. As a nature reserve, only a small section of the park has Been developed for tourism.

Roaming about the birch and pine forests, you can hear birds chirping, smell the scent of flowers, interested various lifelike stones, and fully relax in this natural oxygen bar.

Two must-sees in Tangwanghe National Park are the Stone Forest Scenic Area and the Remains of Korean Pines.

Hongxing Volcano Rock Geopark

In the Hongxing Volcanic Rock Geological Park, the volcanic lava gravel belt formed by volcanic eruption 100 million years ago is called the “Xing’an Sea of Stones”. “Stone seai” is surrounded by a dozen or so miles of Xing’an Rhododendron Forest.
