Baoshan City is located in the western border of Yunnan Province. The border line with Myanmar is 167.8 kilometers long. there are 14 indigenous minorities and nearly 200,000 people.
Best travel season
Baoshan’s rainy season began in mid-May and peaked in July and August. The rain gradually disappeared in October. The rainy season will be very cool. The most severe season is April and May, and the coldest is January. In general, you can travel in Baoshang all seasons, but the spring is the most comfortable.

The consumption level of Baoshan City is not high, but Tengchong County will be higher than other places in Baoshan City. Since traffic is not particularly convenient, the main cost of coming to Baoshan is the transportation cost. The airport has a direct bus to and from Tengchong County. The shuttle bus departs every morning at 7:00. The last shuttle bus arrives at 19:00. The shuttle bus runs every 40 minutes. The trip takes about two hours. The ticket sales point is located at Baoshan Airport where the passengers arrive outside the baggage claim area.

Airport taxi
Baoshan taxi prices starting at 7 yuan / 3 kilometers, driving mileage of more than 3 kilometers, plus 1.50 yuan per 500 meters. Baoshan Airport is about 9 kilometers to the urban area and 25-30 yuan for taxis.

Tengchong Airport and urban transport are mainly taxis. After arriving at Tengchong Airport, passengers arriving at Tengchong Airport can get a taxi at the terminal parking. It takes about 15 minutes from the airport to the county and the price is about 50 yuan.

Bus
There are many bus routes in Baoshan City, and most bus fares are 1 yuan. Arrive at Taibao Park, Baoxiu Square, and reach Banqiao and Reclining Bus No. 10 are bus lines most commonly used by travelers.
Taxis
The starting mileage is 3 kilometers, the starting price is 7 yuan, and if the mileage is more than 3 kilometers, it will add 1.5 yuan per 500 meters. For taxis to Taibaoshan, Lihuawu, and Daxishan, additional 5 yuan will be charged for each trip. From downtown to Baoshan Airport, where the driving range is within 10 kilometers, the maximum per-trip passenger fare is no more than 35 yuan; and if the mileage exceeds 10 kilometers, it will add 1.5 yuan per 500 meters.

Baoshan Museum
The museum has 7 exhibition halls in total and length of more than 400 meters. It comprehensively and systematically shows Baoshan’s social development history and rich natural and human resources for several tens of thousands of years since the late Paleolithic era.

Taibao Park
The total area of Taibao Park is 102 hectares, and the forest coverage is 90%. The trees are mainly pine, cypress and birch. Entering the gate of Taibao Park, there are more than 700 steps to the top of the mountain.

Tengchong hot sea (rehai)
It refers to a group of geothermal springs, the most spectacular geothermal landscape 20 kilometers (12 miles) from Tengchong County. Tengchong is China’s famous geothermal scenic area hides abundant terrestrial heat. This grand spring group covers an area of 9 kilometers (5.6 miles). It was said that there are 14 springs among the total 80 springs has their temperature above 90 degree centigrade (194 degree Fahrenheit). The Hot Sea is not only a marvelous spectacle but also benefit for health. Nowadays, these geothermal resources are well utilized by sanatoriums and thermaes.

Heshun Township
It is surrounded by a river and built along the slope of a hill. The town extends about 3km horizontally. Since the early of Ming dynasty, ethic Han-Chinese from inland migrated to this place for military presence. Later, the town got prosperous from international trade business as it’s the must-go-through site on the old Silk road.

Bait
The bait block is a traditional snack of Tengchong county. It is made from rice and is prepared with fresh meat, fire legs, eggs, and mushrooms.
Diao Plum
Diao Plum is made from the local special safflower salted plum. It looks exquisite and lovely. It is fragrant, sweet and sour, and has a long and delicious taste.
