Taohuayuan (Land of Peach Blossom)

Hua Yanxi is located 50 kilometers south of Changde City in Xuefeng Mountain. There are many wild plants in Huayanxi National Forest Park, such as southern yew, fragrant fruit trees, metasequoia, Zhongyu wood, ginkgo, larch, soap holder, Liriodendron, Magnolia and so on. Liuye Lake
Liuye Lake Resort lies in the northeastern corner of Changde City proper. It is a harmonious integration of lake, city as well as hills. In ancient times, the belt-shaped lake was well-known for its beautiful scenery with the “willows on the bank swaying in the wind, songs of fishermen spreading from the boats on the lake, pine trees singing in the gentle breeze, and the lake framing a belt of water.” At present, it is recognized as “A Jewel of Hunan”, and “The Best Wonder of Changde”.

Gufeng tower
The old Gufeng tower was built in Ming Wanli thirty-five years ago. It was originally called the “Wenfeng Tower”. It symbolizes the outstanding people of Changde, and then destroyed by the war. The existing Gufeng tower was reconstructed on the original tower base, with seven grades and eight surfaces. There are bronze bells on the octagonal poles around; the scenery around the Yuanjiang River is in full view.
