Chishui Scenic Spot is found in Chishui City in northern Guizhou Province. Covering an area of 116 square miles, it boasts vast green forests, large and small waterfalls, countless clear rivers and creeks, glittering lakes and a wide variety of plants.

Nuo opera
It is one of the most popular folk operas in southern China. Characterized by its special features such as ferocious masks, unique dresses and adornments, the strange language used in performance, and mysterious scenes, Nuo opera has been selected[by whom?]as one of the non-material cultural legacies of China. The opera is a religious performance intrinsic to the culture of Nuoism, a type of Chinese folk religion. The purpose of Nuo opera is to drive away devils, disease and evil influences, and also to petition for blessings from the gods. Singing and dancing are included in Nuo opera and performers wear costumes and masks.

Foguangyan Scenic Spot
Foguangyan Scenic Spot(Wu Zhu Feng Scenic Spot) is the important part of Chishui national scenic spot, is one of the core area of Chishui Danxia. It is away from Chishui city 44km, away from Yuanhou 8km, from BinAn towm 30 km. There is simple and ancient scenic environment. The most typical landform is Danxia. It has the good reputations of “the First Garden of Danxia”, “Chishui’s Unique”. Three sides of Scenic connected to Jinsha Cyathea national nature conservation area. It has great difference in altitude, which between 500m to 1300m.Mountains are more than 1200m. The scenic spot known as “Danxia cliffs, the world wonders” Foguangyan and the “created by nature” Wuzhufeng as its main attractions. Foguangyan is annular danxia cliff, 300 meters high, and more than 1000 meters wide, like a giant hieroglyphics spread out in clouds. Under the Sunshine, cliffs bright as rosy cloud, a hanging waterfalls fall from the cliff, dispersed water fog like smoke to give the Cliffs inspirited vitality, forming a giant word “fo”. Chibi connected with Wuzhufeng consists of five towers of danxia mountain peaks, and Peculiar shape. It is masterpiece of the nature. There are numerous ferns and green vines, against the red cliffs.

Arrival method: There is no special line car from Chishui to Foguangyan Scenic Spot. To take the long-distance bus of Chishui-Taipingdu to Chishui Tourism Bus Station, buy tickets to “Daqun”, and tell the driver to “Foguangyan” after getting on the bus. The bus will be at Foguangyan scenic area gate parking, the fare is 15 yuan. On the return journey, you can return to the scenic gate by bus. When you return to Chishui, you will stop.

Tickets: 90 yuan, buy tickets from the scenic gate, battery car round-trip 25 yuan, about 6 kilometers, the end to the direction of Foguangyan and the direction of Wuzhufeng Sancha intersection, the left side is Foguangyan, the right side of the five pillars.
Red Rock Wild Valley Scenic Spot
Red Rock Wild Valley Scenic Spot is located in Huaping Riverside of Datong Ancient Town of Chishui City, 16 kilometers to the downtown area. The core scenic area is about 5 square kilometers. The red honeycomb Danxia fresco stone carving gallery is the most characteristic landscape. Danxia fresco stone carving gallery is about 1000 meters wide, 40 meters high, 15 meters deep, on the cliffs many strange landscapes remind you imagination, a dragon lying under the rock where the head, tail and body of the dragon as vivid as life. Magical Danxia golden frogs, golden beetles, interfax stone will tell you the history of jurassic and take you to feel the wonders of the Danxia shock and the beautiful murals, which red as fire, as sunset. After NPC Vice Chairman Wang guangying fieldwork to the Yangjiayan, inscription for the fancy landscape “Top of Danxia Geology, City of Waterfall”. The dense forests, crystal-clear spring, as if the person were brought to the original and natural Jurassic period, the unique natural land scope will make you enjoy so much as to forget to go home.

Sidong valley
The Sidonggou Scenic Area, 17 kilometers from downtown Chishui, has a cluster of falls. On the four-kilometer section of its watercourse are four cascades that are spaced at roughly same intervals. In the gullies flow nearly 20 streams, and flanking cliffs are hung with numerous waterfalls in various shapes.
Arrival method: The private car to the “Sidonggou Scenic Area” in Chishui Visitor Center (not far from the Datong Bridge of Chishui River) must be parked in the service area.

Shizhangdong scenic area
Shizhangdong is a scenic high-traffic area in Chishui, 39 kilometers from downtown. The waterfall is 76 meters high and 80 meters wide, eight meters higher than Huangguoshu Waterfall. The roaring of the fall can be heard over a great distance.

Yanziyan National Forest Park
Located about 25km (16 miles) to Chishui City, Yanziyan National Forest Park is a primitive and close scenic area which is composed of Yanzi Rock, Shishanping, Huangshui River and Hengshan Mountain Forest. It is an ideal resort to enjoy natural scenery, combining tour and sightseeing, scientific survey and recreation.
Alsophila spinulosa Nature Reserve
China Jurassic Park(China Jurassic Park) is located in JinSha Cyathea Spinulosa Nationali Nature Reserve of the experimental area in Chishui,, away from Chishui city 40 km. Chishui Cyathea Spinulosa National Nature Reserve area is the only nature reserve area that cyathea spinulosa and theirs living environment for the protection objects, area of 133 square kilometers. It has the largest and most wide cyathea spinulosa forset, more than 30,000, deserves to be called “the Kingdom of Cyathea” zone. In October 2000, the National Tourism Administration approved Chishui Cyathea Spinulosa National Nature Reserve Area set up signs of plant “the age of reptiles”, their environment as sightseeing garden, and named “China Jurassic Park”. It introduced Jurassic to foreign visitors, sowed the earth original ecosystem nature landform. It was the only nature ecology garden of Jurassic.

Arrival method: From the bus station, take the bus in Guiyang, Zunyi, Xishui and Tucheng to Jinsha Town, Bengbu City. The ticket is 12 yuan, then turn to the van or motorcycle in the direction of Gangou. There is a 5km section to walk.

Bing’an ancient town
Bing’an ancient town in Chishui is a historical and cultural town of Guizhou Province, 25 kilometers away from Chishui. It has convenient traffic in both land and water, the original ecological integrity, the forest coverage rate reached 92.5%. The ancient town built in the Chishui River on steep rock, backed by mountains, surrounded by water of three sides , masonry for gate, stone for the walls, built hanging attics by the mountains, weather-beaten for thousand years , remains as firm as a rock. Bing’an ancient town was the famous inn and commodity distribution centre for Sichuan’s salt into Guizhou province in ancient times. In 1840, the Qing Dynasty poet ChenXijin after visiting Bing’an ancient town, said that “seeing ships of salt compete for parking, receiving goods in the sunset”. In 1994, it approved by the State Council as a national key scenic spot.
Four Crossing Chishui memorial hall
Four Crossing Chishui memorial hall is located in the famous town of Chinese history and culture town —long march street Tucheng town, the former vice chairman of the central military commission general inscribed pavilion. Four Crossing Chishui battle, is the most dramatic in the Chinese red army long march, the highlight of the military action, is our army military history with less wins, more classic examples in surprise. Four Crossing Chishui battle site is listed as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units. To commemorate this glorious history, approved by the general office of the central committee of the communist party of China to build Four Crossing Chishui in Xishui County Tucheng town museum, is now central named “national youth education base”.
