Ejin Banner is the westernmost banner of Inner Mongolia. It is located in the Gobi Desert and borders on Mongolia in the north, Gansu Province in the southwest, and Alxa Right Banner in the southeast.
Ejin Banner is geographically vast – approximately the size of South Korea, it covers an area larger than the provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang.
Ejin Banner takes its name from the Ejin River, also known as Ruo Shui, which flows from the Qilian Mountains of Gansu, and whose two distributaries terminate in Juyan Lake Basin within Ejin banner. Most of the banner’s population resides in this river’s valley.
Beliefs and taboos
The Mongolian religious beliefs evolved from the ancient worship of heaven to the Shamanism. After the Ming Dynasty, they were converted to the Gelug School of Tibetan Buddhism. West Temple is a famous temple in Ejina.

Consumption level
Ejina travel costs are expensive, mainly spent on transportation and meals, camel meat is about 60 yuan a pound, and car rental is not cheap. Ejina’s accommodation is fairly cheap, but the hotels around the resort are more expensive. The standard room is about 350 yuan a night.

Black City ruins
Located 25 kilometers southeast of Dalahubu Town, Heicheng is the most complete and largest ancient city site on the ancient Silk Road.
When booking a car through a travel agency, you need to calculate the fees for the tickets and tour guides. The tour guide fee is calculated on a daily basis. The daily fee is about 120 yuan/year, the domestic ticket is 12 yuan and the foreigner is 50 yuan.

Arrival method: The road to Black City is Shashi Road, which was completed in 2001 and is not too bumpy. In addition to the local common Beijing Jeep and Mitsubishi Pajero, you can also run ordinary cars or motorcycles. Drive to Black City for approximately 40 minutes. Because it is only 25 kilometers away from the Hubu township, it is not easy to get lost. Travelers can choose to hike, but it takes a very hard day to get there.
Greentown Site Group
Greentown is an oval city with inner city and outer city, covering an area of about 120,000 square meters. Within tens of kilometers from Greentown, there are more than 400 relics such as cities, houses, temples, pagodas, porcelain kilns, tombs, Tuntian District, and military defense facilities. Almost all have not been excavated, making it a paradise for archaeologists.

Red City
Red Town is 28 kilometers southwest of Dalai Hobu Town and 11 kilometers northeast of Black City. It originally was only a city in Juynthia. Ceke Port

Juyan Lake Basin

Badain Jaran Desert
This desert is home to some of the tallest stationary dunes on Earth, with some reaching a height of more than 500 meters (1,600 ft), although most average at around 200 meters (660 ft). Its tallest dune is also measured, from base To peak, as the world’s third tallest dune and highest stationary dune in the world.
The desert also features over 100 spring-fed lakes that lie between the dunes, some of which are fresh water while others are extremely saline. These lakes give the desert its name which is Mongolian for “mysterious lakes”. It is also awesome by one. River, the Ruo Shui (“weak water”), which has formed an alluvial plain in the desert.
