Sêrxü County also known as Sershul, Dzachuka, Serxu, or Shiqu is a county of the Garzê Prefecture in Sichuan Province, China. It is situated at the northernmost tip of Sichuan province. Shiqu County is 950 kilometers away from Chengdu and 850 km from xining.
It is above 25,000 km² et and mainly covered by grasslands. Average level above sea is 4,200 m.
Sershul District villages include: Ariksar, Bumser, Changma, Dezhongma, Dzagyel, Geming, Gotsa, Junyung, Jowo, Kabshi, Kilung, Kyewu, Sershul Gompa, Serxu Dzong, Shaksa, Tromsa Genma, Tseboum Soumdo, Tsemkhog, Ombo and Wathul.
Sershul District has several monasteries, including : Ju Mohar, Sershul Gompa, Bumser, Ariksar, Dzagyel, Changma, Trikar, Kabshi and Jowo.
It has an area of over 25,000 square kilometers and is predominantly covered by grasslands used for nomadic herding. The population is around 68,000, 96% of whom are ethnic Tibetan.
Almost all the people living in this area believe in the Indian Mahayana form of Buddhism but have gradually developed a distinctive Tibetan Buddhism which is also called Lamaism.

Serxu Tibetans can sing and dance, and there are many kinds of ethnic songs and dances. The most influential, longest-historic, and most popular among farmers is the Zhenda Guozhuang Dance.
In the Yushu area, horse racing is more than 1,300 years old as a traditional recreational activity.
Every year from July 28 to August 10, horse races are held on the grasslands close to Serxu County.
Serxu County has organized tent festivals since 1993. The tent festival is a five-day festival and is usually held at the beginning of August every year.
