Ancient China, Giant Panda and Shanghai Disneyland

Highlights:

• Beijing: Aa city combining both modern and traditional architecture, Beijing is a megacity rich in history. As the last of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, Beijing has been the political center of the country for much of the past eight centuries.
• Luoyang: Luoyang is one of the cradles of Chinese civilization, and is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China.
• Xi’an: was the capital of 13 dynasties in ancient China.
• Chengdu: Best place to watch the giant panda, also only and best place to feed the panda or join the panda keeper volunteer program.
• Shanghai: Shanghai disneyland will have seven themed areas: Mickey Avenue, Gardens of Imagination, Fantasyland, Treasure Cove, Adventure Isle, Tomorrowland, and (under development) Toy Story Land.

Itinerary Example:

Day 01 Arrival in Beijing

Sincere greetings & airport-hotel transfer.

Day 02 Beijing

Tiananmen Square: the world’s biggest city center square. where you can visit Tiananmen Tower, Monument to the People’s Heroes, Great Hall of the People, Mao Zedong Memorial Hall and see the national flag raising ceremony.

Forbidden City:  the best-preserved imperial palace in China. It was the dwelling palace of 24 emperors and their families in the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368 – 1911).
A la carte lunch
Temple of Heaven: the ancient imperial site for the Heaven Worship Ceremony. The interesting Echo Wall here is a good place for you to play with your kids.

Day 03 Beijing

Mutianyu Great Wall: one section of the Great Wall in a suburb of Beijing. Enjoy the fun of hiking on this amazing man-made wonder.
Bird’s Nest (drive by):  the grand Olympic site. You can appreciate it at a distance.
Hutong alleys: which is the best place to witness local people’s life. There are rickshaws available for shuttling between the alleys. You can try it to experience the old Beijing culture.

Day 04 Beijing – Luoyang

Summer Palace:  an imperial style garden, You can go skating in winter and boating in other seasons.
A high speed train to Luoyang. Railway station to hotel transfer.

Day 05 Luoyang – Xian

Shaolin Temple: where you can appreciate the real practice of Chinese Kung Fu. Your whole family can learn some basic martial arts moves from the young monks there.
Longmen Grottoes: These grottoes feature abundant shrine-caves, Buddhist statues and cliff calligraphy inscriptions.
A high speed train to Xian. Railway station to hotel transfer.

Day 06 Xian

Terracotta Army Museum: It is a large underground military museum of the Qin Dynasty (221 – 207BC), with countless excavated pottery figures, weapons, and horses. Your family will have a fruitful lesson about the ancient history.
Small Wild Goose Pagoda: a Buddhist tower surviving from the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907). Frequently, you can see students painting there.

Day 07 Xian – Chengdu

City Wall: There are both single and tandem bicycles on the wall, by which you and your kids can have a ride and enjoy the cool breeze full of fun.
Muslim Street: There are a lot of souvenirs shops around, where you and kids can select gifts for friends.
A local family visit: If you are interested, your hostess will teach you and your children to cook some Chinese food.

Day 08 Chengdu

Giant Panda Breeding Base: The environment here is very clean and quiet. You can enjoy a leisurely time and see how the giant pandas live their lives. The cute baby pandas in the incubator will surely make you smile.
Jinli Ancient Street：which is famous for delicious snacks. You can try some if you like. There you can also experience the local people’s casual lifestyle.
Jinsha Site Museum： there is a 4D cinema which can take you back more than 3,000 years to the ancient Shu Kingdom, and show you the splendid culture of the Jinsha Site.

Day 09 Chengdu – Shanghai

Fly to Shanghai. Airport-hotel transfer.
the Bund: The splendid Huangpu River view echoes with a peculiar complex of buildings, fully showing the glamour of modern Shanghai.
Disneyland：Shanghai Disney Resort includes a theme park (Disneyland Park), two themed hotels (Toy Story Hotel & Shanghai Disneyland Hotel), shopping and dinning complex (Disneytown) and Wishing Star Park. It is built to host as many as 100,000 visitors each day.
an Acrobatic Show: Acrobatics is an interactive art form. Everyone, young or old, educated or not, can easily appreciate it while watching or seeing the acrobats perform.

Day 10 Shanghai

Yuyuan Garden：This is a private garden built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty. Famous for being elegant and exquisite, it attracts many visitors from home and abroad.

Zhujiajiao Water Town： All of its streets are built along the river, and the dwellings are in primitive Ming and Qing dynasties style. Aged pavilions and stone bridges all show their touching stories.

Day 11 Departure from Shanghai

Hotel-airport transfer & farewell. A nice journey home!
