Introduction of the mountain

Mount Que’er(Chola Mountain or Trola Mountain、Chola Shan、Que’er Mountain、Que’er Shan) stands in the northern Shaluli Range of southeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, located in Dege County of Ganzi Tibetan Prefecture in Sichuan province. It is called “Rongmai’e’zha” in Tibetan, which means the mountain the eagle cannot fly over. Local people call it “Cuola” (the image of partly hidden and partly visible), just like a pretty and shy girl with her half face concealed by a lute. It is 99.1 degrees of east longitude and 31.8 degrees of north latitude, located in southern Que’er Range. The main peak of Mount Que’er is huge and high, the terrain is variable and complex, and glaciers are well developed, from which the glaciers from C1 to C2 is the most magnificent and also occupies the highest position in Chinese mountains. The main peak is 6168 M, and over 20 mountains of more than 5000 M surrounded the main peak, which makes it looks more splendid and more towering into the sky!

Lake Yulonglacuo (means the lake loved by gods) at the foot of the mountain is green and so clean that fish is visible. The rock at the riverside is carved with “O’ma’ne’ma’mi’hong” by “Duojia” Lama, which greatly shows Tibetan culture. Occupying the unique resources of flora and fauna, Mount Que’er is a Provincial Nature Reserve.
