Trek Mount Genyen (Genie)

Day01 Day01 Arrival Chengdu

Chengdu arrival, transfer to hotel.

Day02 Chengdu – Kangding Tibetan at Kangding, Kham

-Luding Iron Bridge ( dates from the Qing Dynasty and is considered a historical landmark. It was an important crossing on the road between Sichuan and Tibet.)
-Kangding ( which is cradled in a narrow gorge along the raging Dzetuo River. For centuries the town has held the status of “Gateway to Tibet”. )

Day03 Kangding – Lithang (B, L, D)Yala Holy Mountain from Lhagong Monastery,Tagong,Kham

-Tsedo Mountain ( which is over 4,000 meters/ 13.125 feet above sea level. The scenery on the pass is amazing. )
-Yajiang ( a county of the traditional Kham Region of eastern Tibet. It is currently under the administration of the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China.)

Day04 Lithang – Starting point of trek Lithang Highland,Kham

-Lithang Choekorling Monastery ( an important site in the Geluk sect of Tibetan Buddhism. )
-the Mt. Genyen trekking ( Here you will meet your trek crew including horseman and your outdoor cook etc. )

Day05 – 11 Trek Mt. Genyen

-Mt. Genyen ( In the following seven days we shall trek through woodlands, pasures, walk across high mountain passes, seeing snow-capped peaks, amaze at staring alpine lakes, across running waters from gentle brooks to torrential bigger rivers, meet with local Tibetan and set up camps on the grassland and in the forests to fully enjoy the camping life. )

Day12 Trek ends, driven to Lithang Trek Mt.Genyen,Lithang,Kham

-Bumyak Pasture ( where you will say goodbye to the trek crew and be transferred to your hotel along the Sichuan – Tibet Highway.)

Day13 Lithang – Xinduqiao Lithang Monastery,Kham

-Yajiang ( which was built on a steep slope of a mountain by Yarlong River, a tributary of the Yangtze. )
-Xinduqiao (Dongeluo in Tibetan) (The area from Xinduqiao to Tsedo Mountain is considered to be the “Paradise of Photography” by many Chinese photographers due to its amazing pristine scenery. )

Day14 Xinduqiao – Danba Scenic Road Xinduqiao,Kham

-Lamasery Tagong Monastery ( a Tibetan Buddhist monastery and one of the most important in the area — in Tibetan Pel Lhagong.)
-Jiaju Village. Jiaju ( one of the rare places in China that has preserved complete Tibetan style residences. More than one hundred buildings keep the same architectural style with a complete and unique character of Jiarong (Gyarong) Tibetan residences.)

Day15 Danba Rustic Danba,Kham,Sichuan

-Dadu River Valley ( located in Sichuan province, southern China. It is a tributary of the Min River )
-Zhonglu Tibetan Village ( where a lovely hike awaits you. )

Day16 Danba – Chengdu Scenic Landscapes in Lithang,Kham,Sichuan

-Leave in the morning for Chengdu.
-Ya’an ( a prefecture-level city in the western part of Sichuan province, China, located just below the Tibetan Plateau.)

Day17 Depart Chengdu

Transfer to airport for your departure flight. Journey ends.
