Itinerary of China Adoption Tour to Guangdong

Day 1 Arrival in GuangDong Province

Pick up from airport and private transfer to hotel.

Have a good rest today.

Day 2: Orphanage visit

a typical process of orphanage visit: Your family will be welcome by firecracker ceremony with hanging red banner(Written sentence meaning welcome for home return visit), then you will have a conversation with orphanage director and staff, after that it’s a limited visit of facilities the SWI and view the file of your child(if possible). Having lunch with orphanage director and staff, in the afternoon you will visit the “finding spot” of your child or doing the city sightseeing.

Please note that process of each orphanage is different, actually there is no standard process.

So activities of a typical orphanage visit could be:

• Visit facilities and surroundings of the Orphanage(SWI)
• View profile of your Child
• Meet the Nurse/Nanny of your child
• Meet the foster mother or family
• Conversation or with orphanage director and staff
• Meal with orphanage director and staff
• Visit the “finding spot”
• Gifts to orphanage directors, caregivers, foster families and children
• Donate to the orphanage

More and more chinese orphanages are now open to adoptive families for return visiting, but each province is different and has different regulations, No single person can 100% guarantee the permission to visit an orphanage. so please check with your Travel Advisor beforehand to see what you should expect when visiting your child’s orphanage.

Day 3 sightseeing visit

Yuexiu park:  the largest park in down town Guangzhou, covering an area of 212 acres. It is made up of three artificial lakes, and seven mountains, all part of Yue Xiu Mountain, and that’s where the parks’ name comes from. The lakes are divided into three separate lakes.

Five Ram statue: is one of the most famous structures in Guangzhou. It has become the emblem of the city. Legend has it that more than 2,000 years ago, the city was a barren land with people who despite hard work were suffering from famine.

Xiguan old house: In the old district of Guangzhou where roads are very narrow, Liwan District, maintains lots of old houses dated back to a few decades or even one hundred years ago. You can have an experience of how local folks life are by entering one of these old houses, we call it Xiguan old houses as it once was the border of the west gate of Guangzhou city.

Qingping market: Located at the cross interchange between Qingping Street and Tiyun Street along the Pearl River, and built in 1979, Qingping Market in Guangzhou is a composite market selling agricultural complementary products as well as Chinese herbal medicines

Day 4 Departure from GuangDong Province

Private transfer to Airport or Train station
