From the perspective of geological structure, Mount Jiangsanglamubelongs to anticlinorium shaft of wrinkles of the new generation, and the core is constituted of gneiss and mixed rocks. The mountain is located at the southern side of beautiful Lake Yangzhuoyongcuo, along the route tourists can enjoy magnificent landscape and full Tibetan folk. Among thousands of mountains in Tibet, Mount Jiangsanglamu is the ideal place for amateurs of climbing lovers in China to climb. This mountain is convenient for transportation, the slopes are slight, icy snow is abundant, climate is moderate, the level of climbing is middle and there is no advantageous sections.
To be honest, tourists can climb this mountain in each month. However, due to the influence of monsoon climate, July and August are rainy seasons. Additionally the climbing route is long, the weather is cold and the wind is strong in November, December, January, February and March, so the best seasons to climb are in April, May, September or October.
Tourists can choose to go southern China-Nepal highway, along State Road 318, Lhasa—Qushui—river side of Brahmaputra– Gambara (altitude of 4794 meters)—Lake Yangzhuoyongcuo—Langkazi County—BC (at the Sand Pit beside the road)
Since Tibetan Climbing Team succeeded in reaching the summit in 1986, Tibetan climbing schools, students’ associations and climbers in non-governmental circles have reached the summit of Mount Jiangsanglamu.
