Summary:

“If you do not come to Yili, you will never know the beauty of Xinjiang.” The beauty of Yili is shocking, and Yili grassland is extremely brilliant in spring! Pure and blue lake quietly reflects the white snow mountains, nearly 30,000 livestock graze here, which looks like numerous white clouds swimming in the grassland and roaring in wildness. Yili was named by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization as one of “the world’s great ten mountain grasslands”.

Itinerary

Day 1: Urumqi

Urumqi arrival, transfer to hotel.
Overnight: Urumqi

Day 2: Urumqi – (260km) – Kuitun

Activities: Get up early to have breakfast and then drive to Kuitun.

Overnight: Kuitun

Day 3: Kuitun – (300km) – Sayram Lake – (70km) – Qingshuihe Town

Activities: Get up early to drive to Sayram Lake, and finally stay in Qingshuihe Town.

Day 4: Qingshuihe Town – (210km) – Tekes County

Activities: Get up early to the lavender flower field to shoot, and then drive by Yining to Tekes County.

Activities: Get up early to have breakfast and then departure from Tekes County, drive to Kalajun Grassland.

Activities: Get up early to have breakfast and then drive to Zhaosu County.

Activities: Get up early to have breakfast and then drive back to Qingshuihe Town.

Day 8: Qingshuihe Town – Sayram Lake – Jinghe County

Activities: Get up early to drive to Sayram Lake and turn back to Jinghe County before night falls.
