Minya Konka Trek

Day01 Arrival Chengdu Chengdu,Sichuan,China

Chengdu arrival, transfer to hotel.

Day02 Chengdu – Kangding Kangding,the Gateway to Tibet from Sichuan

-Luding Iron Bridge ( dates from the Qing Dynasty and is considered a historical landmark. It was an important crossing on the road between Sichuan and Tibet.)
-Kangding ( which is cradled in a narrow gorge along the raging Dzetuo River. For centuries the town has held the status of “Gateway to Tibet”. )

Day03 Kangding – Shangmuju Pasture below Minya Konka Mountain in Sichuan

-Tsedo mountain ( which is over 4,000 meters/ 13.125 feet above sea level. The scenery on the pass is amazing. )
-Shangmuju Tibetan village ( Enjoy nice views of the high mountains including the mighty Minya Konka (7,556 m/ 24,790 feet) and lush green valleys on the way. )

Day04 Trek to Tsemei Trek begins at Minya Konka in Sichuan

-Tsemei Pass (4,440m/ 14,570 feet) ( where you could view the Minya Konka in distance.)
-Tsemei Village ( where we set up our camp and enjoy tent life. )

Day05 Trek to Gongar Gompa Minya Konka Trek – East Tibet

-Gongar Gompa (Gonggar Monastery) ( founded by Rolpyi Dorjee, the spiritual Guru of the Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Visit the monastery and nearby areas offer a good light hike.)

Day06 Trek to Moxi Valley Minya Konka Trek,East Tibet Kham

-Gongar Gompa ( facing the snowy peaks of Minya Konka. )
-the snow-capped pyramid peaks of Konka Mountain ( a cluster of over 10 which are all above 6,000m and the 7,556m main peak. )
-Moxi Valley ( through dense forests where you will have lots of photo opportunities.)

Day07 Trek to Yulongxi Trek in the vallye of Yulongxi around Mt.Gonggar

-Yulongxi (Jade Dragon Brook) ( the nomadic meadow )

Day08 Walk to Yatsela Trekking around Minya Konka

-YulongXi ( located in Gongga between two famous pass, belongs to Tibet)
-Yatsela Pasture ( through some nomad black tents. )

Day09 Trek to Meadow Camp Trek at Minya Konka in Sichuan

-Yatsela pass (4.960 m / 16,275 feet)
-Meadow Camp ( named “Gesar Pasture”. )

Day10 Trek to Laoyulin, driven to Kangding Trek at Minya Konka,Kham,Sichuan

-Laoyulin ( where you will meet your driver )
-Transfer to hotel in Kangding. Enjoy a nice time in Kangding after days of walking.

Day11 Kangding – Chengdu Dadu River Valley,Luding,Sichuan

-Leave in the morning for Chengdu.
-Ya’an ( a prefecture-level city in the western part of Sichuan province, China, located just below the Tibetan Plateau.)

Day12 Depart Chengdu

Transfer to airport for your departure flight. Journey ends.
