Summary:

Thangka Unfolding inherits from ancient times in Benjiao.Every year at this time, the monks will be dressed up to lift the Thangka high and spread it to bask. In the process, singing and dancing, people hold the yogurt to eat and pray to the Buddha.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Lanzhou (February, 2021)

Activities: Lanzhou arrival, transfer to hotel.
Overnight: Lanzhou

Day 2: Lanzhou-(330km)-Tongren

Activities: Drive to Tongren County.
Photography: Regong Art Country, Wangjiasi, Wutunxia Monastery, etc.
Overnight: Tongren

Day 3 – 5: Tongren (February, 2021)

Activities: In Tongren.
Photography: Thangka Unfolding Ceremony and Mask Dance, in Lower Wutun monastery and guomar monastery.
Overnight: Tongren

Day 6: Tongren-(250km)-Hezuo

Activities: Drive to Hezuo City
Photography: Pujas of Wutun Temple, etc.
Overnight: Hezuo

Day 7: Hezuo-(225km)-Zhagana

Activities: Leave for Zhagana after finishing shooting in Hezuo.
Photography: Milariba Buddha Pavilion, Zhagana Stone Casket, Ganahu Lake, etc.
Overnight: Diebu

Day 8: Zhagana-(180km)-Luqu

Activities: Drive to Zhagana for photography and then leave fot Luqu.
Photography: Wonderful scenery of Zhagana, Xicang Temple in Luqu County, etc.
Overnight: Luqu

Day 9: Luqu-(320km)-Lanzhou

Activities: Get up early for photography of morning scenes in Xicang Temple. After Tibetans bowing to the Buddhas, drive back to Lanzhou and end this jolly trip!
