Day 1 Enter from Mongolia – China border (Erenhot Border)

Welcomed by your guide at Chinese border side, finish customs declaration process today

Day 2 Erenhot – Ulanqab (340km)

Get your Chinese temporary driving license and number plate.
Heading to Ulanqab, visit Wulanhada Volcano park in the afternoon.

Day 3 Ulanqab – the Great Wall (360km)

Hiking in the wild part of the Great Wall and avoiding tourists.

Day 4 the Great Wall – Beijing (100km)

Visit opportunity: Forbidden city, Tian’an men Square, Temple of Heaven

Day 5 Beijing

Visit opportunity: Olympic park, Summer Palace, Hutongs

Day 6 Beijing

Visit opportunity: the Lama Temple of Peace and Harmony and shopping in the afternoon

Day 7 Beijing – Pingyao (600km)

Visit opportunity: Pingyao ancient town, Qiao’s Grand Courtyard

Day 8 Pingyao – Xi’an (500km)

Arrive in Xi’an in the late afternoon, visit Muslim street filled with local snacks.
Watch night view about drum tower and bell tower.

Day 9 Xi’an

Visit opportunity: Terracotta-Army, Shaanxi historical museum, Giant Goose Pagoda

Day 10 Xi’an – Guyuan (400km)

Visit opportunity: Huoshizhai Danxia Geopark

Day 11 Guyuan – Lanzhou (334km)

Visit opportunity: Yellow river bridge, Gansu Provincial Museum

Day 12 Lanzhou – Zhangye (504km)

Day 13 Zhangye – Jiayuguan (230km)

Visit opportunity: Seven-color Danxia National Geo-park
The mountains are full of unbelievable colors, changing tone depending on the height of the sun; extraordinary is the sunset!
There are five viewing platforms for you to watch and shoot. You will visit one by one, and will be transferred by park buses from one deck to another.
After visit Danxia Geo-park, continue driving to Jiayuguan Great Wall

Day 14 Jiayuguan – Dunhuang (370km)

Visit opportunity: crescent Lake and Mingsha Mountain

Day 15 Dunhuang

Visit opportunity: Mogao cave, situated at a strategic point along the Silk Route, at the crossroads of trade as well as religious, cultural and intellectual influences, the 492 cells and cave sanctuaries in Mogao are famous for their statues and wall paintings, spanning 1,000 years of Buddhist art.

Day 16 Dunhuang – Zhangye (588km)

Day 17 Zhangye – Matisi (horse hoof temple) (90km)

Visit opportunity: Matisi, it is one temple on the mountain cliff, all of our clients love it.

Day 18 Matisi – Qinghai lake (466km, altitude: 3200m)

You will enter Qinghai – Tibet plateau today, the landscape changed from Gobi Desert to Plateau Grassland. Driving to high altitude today, you will see yaks.
Some people may have altitude sickness today, it’s normal. Drink more water, pee more. Walk slowly, don’t jump!

Day 19 Qinghai lake – Labrang monastery (350km, altitude: 3000m)

Visit Labrang monastery, there will be sutra practice at sutra hall every morning at 11:00am.
Exploring Labrang monastery by yourself in the afternoon.

Day 20 Labrang monastery – Langmusi – Songpan (441km, altitude: 2800m)

Visit: Ruoergai grassland, Songpan ancient town night view
Try Yak soup for dinner

Day 21 Songpan – Jiuzhaigou – Songpan (200km, altitude: 3000m)

Due to heavy rainfall in Sichuan in June last year, Jiuzhaigou was temporarily closed because of natural disasters. So far, the official government has not indicated the time of reopening.
Alternative options: Munigou near Jiuzhaigou

Day 22 Songpan – Dujiangyan – Chengdu (320km)

Visit opportunity: Dujiangyan Panda base

Day 23 Chengdu

Visit local primary school.
In China, a 6-year-old child should go to primary school. The primary school system covers children between the ages of 6 and 12.

Day 24 Chengdu

Visit opportunity: Kuanzhai Alley, People’s park, Chunxi road
Our company will invite you for hot pot meal and Sichuan opera show.

Day 25 Chengdu

Shopping and relaxing day, Fix vehicle mechanic if there is any.

Day 26 Chengdu – Leshan (142km)

Visit opportunity: Leshan Giant Buddha

Day 27 Leshan – Chongqing (312km)

Visit opportunity: Chaotianmen dock, where the Yangtze River and the Jialing River meet, you can see the water boundaries with different colors.
Known as the little Hongkong, Chongqing has beautiful night view.

Day 28 Chongqing – Zunyi (240km)

Visit opportunity: Cishui Grand waterfall

Day 29 Zunyi – Xijiang (300km)

Visit some local Miao’s village, the most famous one is Thousands household Miao village in Xijiang, 30 km away from Kaili city, but it is a bit commercial.
If you want to be far away from the tourist, Jidao Miao village is a nice place to go.

Day 30 Xijiang

Visit one of local primary school

Day 31 Xijiang – Longji Rice terrace (350km)

Visit famous Longji (Dragon back ) Rice Terrace, walking in the countryside and watching buffalo working in the field.

Day 32 Longji Rice terrace – Guilin (80km)

Visit opportunity: Visit Reed Flute Cave in the afternoon.
Xianggong mountain: best place of the mountain and river.

Day 33 Guilin – Yangshuo (76km)

Many foreigner backpackers are here, you could rent a bike from hostel and riding along the Li river, or you could have experience about bamboo rafting in Yangshuo.

Day 34 Yangshuo – Baise (600km)

Day 35 Baise – Nanning (243km)

Day 36 Naning – Dongxing (187km)
