Shanghai, Suzhou Garden and Mt. Huangshan Hiking

Day 1 Shanghai

Shanghai arrival, transfer to hotel.

Overnight: Shanghai

Day 2 Shanghai ( B, L )

– Shanghai Museum (one of the Best Four Museums in China, an ideal place to learn about the profound Chinese history and culture.)

– Former French Concession (Its juxtaposition between the ultra-modern and the colonial past, tree-lined streets, boutique shops, historic lane houses and villas make it a window into the city’s up-and-down history.)

-Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC) (“the eye of Shanghai”, a panoramic view of the whole Shanghai and Huangpu River area.)

– Nanjing Road (shopping paradise as well as a great place to take a wonderful walk to experience the local modern atmosphere.)

–  the Bund (feel the perfect fusion of Chinese culture and Western culture, and seize the stunning Shanghai skyline)

Day 3 Shanghai – Suzhou (B)

– Lingering Garden (one of the Four Greatest Gardens in China as well as the perfect representative of traditional Suzhou Gardens.)

– Shantang Ancient Street (a wonderful place for a relaxing walking or leisure cruise on canals, famous as “the miniature of old Suzhou and the window of Wu culture”.)

– Tiger Hill (the most historical site in Suzhou, covers about 3.5 acres areas with a number of historical sites some of which have history over 2,500 years.)

– Yunyan Pagoda (an over-1000-year-old pagoda with seven stories in height and famously leans much the Leaning Tower of Pisa.)

– Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory (not only see how the silk is processed from worm to the final product, but also learn some history and culture of silk in China.)

Day 4 Tongli & Tongli – Huangshan ( B, L )

– Tongli Water Town (ancient water town of over 1,000 years old and well keeps its authentic old buildings, antique bridges and pure folk customs.)

Day 5 Huangshan ( B )

– Mercy Light Pavilion (Museum of Huangshan Mountain)

– Greeting Guests Pine(Located on the east side of the Jade Screen Peak and on the Wenshu Cave, it stands about ten meters high. It looks like a hospitable host who flings her arms out to welcome the arrival of her guests warmly. This pine is the representative of Mt. Huangshan’s pines. It’s China’s treasure.)

– Lotus Peak(1864m) (also called West Peak, formed by a huge rock, the most elegant peak .)

– One Hundred Cloud Ladder (located on the northwest cliff of the Lotus Peak. There are two big stones not far away from “the lotus stem”. 100 levels of precipitous steep steps is caved on the cliff, passing through two stones. )

– One-Line-Sky( the landform of a narrow passage between huge rocks, where the sky looks like a single line.)

– Turtle Fish Peak(the best place to enjoy sunrise and sunset of the Yellow Mountain.)

– the Bright Summit ( the second highest peak on the mountain.)

– the Dispelling Cloud Pavilion (look down the Dreamland – West Sea Grand Canyon.)

– West Sea Grand Canyon (enjoy the Avatar-like rising rock peaks, unfathomable cliffs, bizarre stones and tenacious pine trees.)

Day 6 Huangshan – Shanghai ( B )

– Lion Peak (see the famous Dawn Pavilion, Stone Monkey Watching the Sea.)

– Dawn Pavilion (enjoy the beautiful scenery of Beginning to Believe Peak and Goddess Peak as well as the Stalagmite Bridge hat inspires imagination of various fairy scenes.)

– Stone Monkey Watching the Sea (A unique stone, on a stone platform in front of Lion Peak, looks like a monkey squatting and viewing the clouds sea.)

– Beginning-to-Believe Peak (stretch eyesight over cloud seas to far distance.)

-Black Tiger Pine(Located at the road conjunction of the North Sea and the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, the tree is about 15 meters high and the diameter of its trunk is 65 centimeters. Projection area of the crown is about 100 square meters and the tree is estimated to be about 700 years old.)

-White Goose Ridge(stands against wind at the entrance to the East Sea Scenic Area. Standing here, travelers can see cloud is dimly discernible.)

-Yungu Temple (take a cableway to upper beautiful sightseeing area of Huangshan Mountain.)

Day 7 Shanghai Departure ( B, L )

– Jade Buddha Temple (the largest jade Buddha in the world and numerous religious artifacts, ancient statues and Buddhist scriptures.)

– Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center  (an overview of the City’s ambitious plans for future.)

— Former French Concession ( designated for the French and residential and as the premier residential for expats and retail district of Shanghai during the settlement period(1849 until 1943) and the Republic of China era(1912~1949). )
