Torch Festival Of the Yi Ethnic People in Butuo of Xichang

Date of Torch Festival of Yi in Butuo: July 20th – 24th, 2018

Day01 Arrival Chengdu

-Chengdu arrival, transfer to hotel.

Day02 Chengdu – Butuo Torch Festival of the Yi’s in Sichuan

-Transfer to Chengdu airport and take flight to Xichang, the capital of Liangshan Yis Prefecture. -the Torch Festival celebrations ( horse racing, sheep fighting, bonfires, singing, dancing and playing musical instruments )

Day03 Butuo – Puge Torch Festival in Liangshan,Sichuan

-the local market ( which gather the villagers with their nice dress. )
-Later of the day you arrive in Puge and check in your hotel to enjoy hot spring.

Day04 Puge Torch Festival celebration event at local village in Puge,Sichuan

-Torch Festival ( one of the main holidays of the Yi people of southwest China, and is also celebrated by other ethnic groups of the region. )

Day05 Puge – Xichang evening bonfire carnival during Torch Festival in Liangshan,Sichuan

-Lushan Mountain ( The main peak of Lushan Mountain is Shamao Peak, which is 2317 meters above the sea level. )
-Ancient temples and pavilions ( hiding in the forest. Some of them are Buddhist and some are Taoist.

Day06 Xichang Horse Racing during Torch Festival near Xichang,Sichuan

-Torch festival ( wrestling, horse racing, goats fighting, singing, dancing and beauty contest.)
-The bonfire carnival ( check out the spectacular big fireworks. )

Day07 Depart Xichang Torch Festival Gala in Xichuang,Sichuan

-Free in the morning until check out and transferred to airport for flight back Chengdu where you can catch your connecting flight to your next destination. End of the Torch Festival in Sichuan.
